------ Potocnik, Sally Louise (5 JUN 1965)

After June 10, Mr. and Mrs. Jeffry A. Ewert will be at home at Rockford, Ill.

The wedding of Miss Sally Louise Potocnik, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Polocnik, Owen, and Jeffrey A. Ewert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arlyn Ewert, Unity, took place Saturday, June 5, at St. John’s Lutheran church, Withee.  For the 4 o’clock ceremony, the Rev. L. A. Urman was the officiate, Mrs. Dallas Granquist, the soloist, and Miss Sharon Heideman, the organist.

The bride chose a street length bridal gown of lace and silk organza featuring a bateau neckline and three-quarter length sleeves.  The fully flared lace and organza skirt was accented by a draped cummerbund.  An organza rosette with face veil and a bouquet of red roses and white carnations completed the bride’s ensemble.

Mrs. Dale Amacher of Chicago, who served her sister a matron of honor, was attired in a pastel green street length dress of sata peau, designed with a sweetheart neckline, cap sleeves and semi-full skirt.

Soft pink, identically styled, was worn by Miss Judith Miller of Withee, a friend of the bride.

They wore small floral headpieces with matching veil and carried baskets of pink and yellow carnations with white mums.

Donald Mataczynski of Conrath, as best man and Richard Wallock of Stevens Point, both friends of the groom, completed the wedding party.

After the ceremony a reception attended by 100 guests, was held at Bethany church basement, Owen.

Guests came from New Mexico, California, Michigan, Chicago, Milwaukee, Portage, and surrounding areas.
