Stebak, Helene (14 JUN 1947)

Miss Helen Stebak, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Stebak of Gilman, became the bride of Anthony Prasnick, son of Mrs. Theresa Prasnick of Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), in a ceremony performed by Father J. Dzurko at Sts. Peter and Paul Church at Gilman on Saturday, June 14th, 1947, at a 10:00 nuptial mass.

Johnnie Przybylski served as best man and Cecelia Gronia as bridesmaid wore aqua with full taffeta skirt and inserted lace. Helen Duffy and Helen Lew, also bridesmaids, wore blue taffeta with net lace overskirts. They wore gold lockets and their bouquets were of white and pink carnations.

The bride was attired in a ninon gown of long sleeves with ruffles and square collar with ruffle. Her full fashioned skirt and long train was of ninon and the wedding veil fell from a white beaded crown of inserted lace. Her bouquet was of white roses, white carnations and white streamers with lilies of the valley interwoven. She wore the groom’s gift of a gold locket.

The flower girls, Joan Victory and Julie Ann Budny wore dresses of yellow organdy and gold lockets. They carried baskets of white and pink carnations tied with yellow streamers.

The bride’s mother was attired in light aqua crepe dress and the groom’s mother in black and white jersey. Both wore corsages of pink and white carnations.

The groom and his attendants, Johnnie Przybysli, Milton Sromek and Clarence Przybyski, wore dark suits.

About 175 guests attended the reception held after the ceremony at the home of the brid’s parents.

The happy couple will make their future home at 915 North Damen Ave., Chicago, where the groom is employed with the Western Electric.
