Sybeldon, Edward (30 Apr. 1868 - 21 Feb. 1935)

Edward Sybeldon, Sr., who has been ill for the past few weeks, died at his home here this morning.

The funeral will be held Monday at 9 o’clock from St. Bernard’s Catholic church.

Funeral services for Edward Sybeldon Sr., 67, of Abbotsford, Wisconsin, who died at his home at 5:25 Thursday morning of rheumatism of the heart, after ten days illness, were held Monday morning at 9 o’clock at St. Bernard’s Catholic church, the Rev. John Novak officiating. Burial was made in the Abbotsford cemetery.

The following acted as pallbearers: Frank Kadonsky, William Nagel, Fred Dietsche, Joseph McCabe, Peter Kriski and Frank Chris.

Mr. Sybeldon was born April 30, 1868 at Dunkirk, N.Y., and was married at Bessmer, Mich., Nov. 24, 1889 to Miss Pauline Kropidloski. They moved to Abbotsford from Hurley 31 years ago.

The deceased is survived by his widow, five daughters, Miss Clara Sybeldon, Chippewa Falls, Helen Sybeldon, Chicago, Mrs. Joseph Fischer, Dorchester, Mrs. Richard Montgomery and Mrs. Agnes Lester, Chicago. Two sons, Henry of Racine and Edward of Cable, a sister, Mrs. C. C. Happa of Stevens Point. Four brothers, Steve of Coolin, Idaho, Joseph of Hurley, John of Portland, Oregon and Frank of Hatley. Also nine grandchildren.

Relatives and friends from out of town present at the funeral included Miss Clara Sybeldon, Chippewa Falls; Mrs. Richard Montgomery and daughter Pauline, and Mrs. Agnes Lester, Chicago; Henry Sybeldon, Racine; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Sybeldon and daughter Juanita, Cable; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sybeldon, Hurley; Frank Sybeldon, Hatley; Mike Hoppa, Stevens Point; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Corbits and Al Popple, Chippewa Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Knaack and Frank Chris, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Peter Kruski, Stevens Point; Steve Chris, Merrillan Junction; Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Feit, Unity; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fischer and sons Ray and Edward, Mrs. John Beck, Anawa; and Mrs. Lorraine Slacker, Chicago.
