Weber, Joanne (Marriage - 17 May 1958)

Miss Joanne Weber, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Weber of Colby, Route 2, and Robert Max Berndt, son of Max Berndt, were united in marriage Saturday, May 17, in St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby, Wis., Rev. John B. Pinion reading the marriage ceremony. Miss Lucille Wilke was maid of honor and Shirley Bauman and Pauline Weber were the bridesmaids. The groom was attended by James Weber as best man and Joe Pils and Lawrence Fagen were groomsmen. Marlou Weber served as flower girl and James Berndt was ring bearer.

The bride was attired in a chantilly lace gown lined with sparkle net, satin underneath and formed with floor-length four tiered skirt, fitted bodice, Sabrina neckline, long tapering sleeves, V at waist and fingertip veil fastened to tiny bill box covered with matching lace. Her bouquet consisted of red roses and white carnations.

The bridesmaids wore coral net and taffeta dresses under white flock dot nylon, ballerina length, sleeveless bodice, deep rounded neck topped with bolero Queen Ann collar, wide cummerbund around waist, huge bows and long sashes, headpieces of tiny ruffles of net in matching colors. The maid of honor wore a similar dress but in aqua under white. Their bouquets consisted of pink and white carnations.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents which was decorated with pink, white and aqua streamers, bells, flowers and apple blossoms.

After a wedding trip to Pennsylvania, New York and other eastern states, the couple will make their future home in Wausau.
