Damm, Betty Jane (Marriage - 26 July 1958)

Miss Betty Jane Damm of Stetsonville became the bride on Saturday of Marvin Gerold Ingersoll of Abbotsford in services in Zion Evangelical Lutheran church at Stetsonville, the Rev. William P. Holzhausen officiating. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Albert Damm and Mr. and Mrs. Ken Ingersoll.

Flowers decorated the altar when the bride appeared wearing a floor-length gown of lace and net which cascaded in ruffled tiers over a heavy white satin skirt. Lace flowers trimmed with sequins detailed the scoop neckline of her lace bodice. A tiara trimmed with sequins, pearls and rhinestones held her finger-tip veil, and she carried a cascade bouquet of white carnations and roses.

Miss Thelma Damm was her sister’s maid of honor, with Miss Sharon Damm as bridesmaid. They wore ballerina-length dresses of flocked nylon over aqua and yellow. Halo headpieces held their circular veils and matched the shades in their dresses, as did the bouquets of carnations they carried.

Escorting the bridal attendants were Bob Damm, the bride’s brother, and Ken Ingersoll, the groom’s brother. Mrs. William P. Holzhausen played the wedding music.

A reception followed the ceremony at the bride’s home with supper at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran church basement and a dance at Dorchester Memorial Hall in the evening.

The couple will make their home in Colby where the groom is employed as a truck driver. The bride, a graduate of Medford High and Eau Claire Business College, has been employed at the American Box Board Co. The groom is a graduate of Abbotsford schools.
