Tennis, Janice Marie (Marriage - 26 July 1958)

Miss Janice Marie Tennis, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Tennis of Unity, became the bride Saturday of Erland Allen Shelley of Riplinger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Shelley of Loyal. Rev. Robert Langseth performed the ceremony at 2:30 P.M. in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Unity, Wis. Waveaglee Miller played the wedding march for the occasion.

The bride, given in marriage by her uncle, Harry Mandel of Unity, wore a two-piece blue chemise dress with white accessories. Her corsage consisted of pink roses and white carnations. The maid of honor, Miss Billie Binning of Unity, and the bridesmaid, Joanee Jost of Unity, wore chemise dresses in wine and tan colors, respectively. Their corsages consisted of pink roses. Carroll Shelley of Loyal was best man and Delbert Weltzin was the groomsman.

A luncheon in the basement of Colby’s Tavern in Unity followed the ceremony. After a honeymoon on Lake Nakomis, the couple will make their home in Unity, Wis.

Mr. and Mrs. Shelley are graduates of Colby High School. Mr. Shelley is a sewing machine salesman.
