Brown, William (20 May 1852 - 5 July 1935)

William Brown, age 83, passed away at 5 o’clock Friday morning at the home of his son, Lyman, at Boyd.

Mr. Brown was born May 20, 1852, in Illinois. He spent most of his boyhood with his parents on a farm at Waupun, in Fond du Lac county. Later he settled on a farm near Abbotsford, retiring in 1917 to make his home with his children.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Methodist church at Boyd. Rev. Geo. Vaugn, Stanley, read the services. Internment was made in the Union cemetery at Edson.

Surviving are his wife, three daughters and three sons, Lyman of Boyd; Mrs. John Dusik, Boyd; Mrs. Joe Heida, Eau Claire; Mrs. Nedry Serling, Milan; John, of Abbotsford and Edgar of Unity; 14 grand children and seven great grand children.
