Neiman, Margaret M. (23 AUG 1947)

The wedding of Margaret Marie Neiman to Darwin G. Wald took place Aug. 23, 1947 at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church with Rev. Kamla performing the ceremony.

The bride, who was given away in marriage by her father, wore a colonial style white nylon tulle gown ending in a long train. She carried a cascade of white glads and straphontes and a crystal rosary, a gift of the groom. Her three-quarter French illusion veil was held in place by a half crown of orange blossoms.

Bridesmaids, Agnes Neiman, sister of the bride, and Ida Mae Jansen, friend of the bride, both wore colonial gowns of white frosted nylon tulle over green. They both carried cascades of yellow daisies and their headpieces were half crown of yellow daisies. Single stranded pearls were worn around their necks, gifts of the bride.

Little Nancy lee Wald, nice of the groom, acted as flower girl. She wore a colonial style gown made of white nylon Tulle. Her flowers were white daisies, as was her headpiece.

Ushers were Eddie Neiman and Johnnie Jarosz, both wearing tuxedos, as did the groom.

Miss Lillian Teclaw sang the "Ave Maria" and another song to the Blessed Virgin as the bride took an all white bouquet and place it on the Blessed Virgin’s altar.

The bride’s gown was designed and sewed by Mrs. Al Teclaw, sister of the bride.

The young couple will be at home in Stanley where both are employed.
