Nolechek, Betty (17 SEP 1947)

Miss Betty Nolechek, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. W. F. Nolechek of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Alfred Franklin Bishop III, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. F. bishop, Jr., 1502 Morrison St., Madison, were married at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Raphael’s Parsonage. For the ceremony, performed by the Rev. Howard Finnegan, white flowers decorated the mantel, and candelabra were place at either side.

With her venetian wine suit the bride wore black accessories, a white orchid corsage, and a rhinestone choker given her by the bridegroom. Her father gave her in marriage.

The bridegroom’s sister, Miss Betsy Bishop, was the bride’s attendant, wearing a blue suit, grey accessories, and a gardenia corsage. William Nolechek of Thorp, brother of the bride, was best man.

Both mothers of the bridal couple wore black dresses and gardenia corsages.

A breakfast for 45 guests was served at the Capital Hotel, after which the couple left for a trip to northern Wisconsin. For travel, the bride wore a caramel colored dress with black accessories.

After Sept. 22, Mr. and Mrs. Bishop will be at home at 1502 Morrison St., Madison.

The bride attend Stephens College, Columbia, Mo., and the Northwest School of Medical Technology. She has been a laboratory technician at Methodist Hospital. Mr. Bishop attended Madison College and is now a real estate and insurance agent.
