Kile, John M. #2 (26 OCT 1856 - 15 MAR 1948)
John Myron Kile, the fifth child of James and Hulda Kile, passed away at the home of his son John J. on Monday, March 15th, 1948, in the town of Butler (Clark Co., Wis.), where he had made his home for the past 40 years. His death was caused by old age infirmities.
He was born in Iowa Co., Wis., Oct. 26, 1856. On Aug. 12, 1876, he was united in marriage to Julia Salsburry, who died on Jan. 5, 1895.
Three infant children, Warren, George and Julia, and two sons Macy and Fred died in latter years. Left to mourn of the union are Ruby (Mrs. Glenn Nofsinger) and Stephen, of Valley, Wis.; James of Evansville, Wis., and Bert of Portland, Ore.
On Aug. 29th, 1892 he was united in marriage to Sarah Jane Moore. To this union were born seven children, of which all are living, John Jr., and Hattie (Mrs. Hugo Kuehl) of Thorp; Sylvia (Mrs. B. Winterer) of Eau Claire, Wis.; Flora (Mrs. Johanna Audorff) of Cadott, Wis.; Frances (Mrs. Bernard Elmendorf), Esther (Mrs. Norman Skrepgy), Margaret (Mrs. Dia Markee), all of the State of Washington. Mr. Kile had 54 grandchildren, of which 47 are living, and 39 great grandchildren.
He leaves these relatives and a host of friends to mourn his passing.
Rev. James Irish conducted funeral services on Thursday afternoon from the Thorp Funeral Home and burial taking place in the Butlerville Cemetery.
