Bollman, Joan I. #3 (24 SEP 1933 - 22 NOV 2008)
Joan I. Bollman, 75, town of Longwood, died at 4 a.m., on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, after a short illness. There will be no services at this time.
Joan I. Price was born on Sept. 24. 1933, an only child to Alfred and Gertrude (nee Lockhart) Price, at Cook County Hospital Chicago, Ill. After her high school graduation, she married her childhood sweetheart, Roy Bollman, only child of Roy and Dorothy (nee Lampley) Bollman, on Feb. 7, 1950, in Chicago. They made their home in the Chicago-land area. She was employed by Crown, Cork and Seal Company as a quality control inspector and also sold real estate. In 1974, they relocated to the Willard area. At that time, she was employed by Skelgas in Thorp. In 1981, she was hired by Farmers and Merchants Bank, Greenwood. She retired in October 1995. In 1993, she and her family owned and operated Greenwood Auto Sales, Greenwood, until May 2004. She enjoyed working for Farmers and Merchants Bank. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, bird watching and having lunch with her friends.
Survivors include three daughters, Debra (Ray) Tomasiewitz, Owen, Jacalyn La Plant, Green Bay, Susan (Dave) Wilke, Watertown; five grandchildren, Joseph Graham, Park Falls, Ryan Tomasiewitz, Champagne, Ill., Steven Tucker, Watertown, Lynda (Patrick) Gruling, Chicago, and John Gasca, Chicago; and one great-grandchild, Andrew Tucker.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Roy, on Jan. 29, 2003; and her parents, Alfred Price and Gertrude (Merle) Cotts.
