Lichte, Elmer Heinrich Rudolph (12 Nov. 1919 - 24 Dec. 2008)

Elmer Lichte, 89, of Neillsville, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008, at the Memorial Health and Rehabilitation Center in Neillsville.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008, at the Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville. Interment will be in the town of Grant Cemetery with military rites accorded by the Neillsville Veterans Council.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Elmer Heinrich Rudolph Lichte was born Nov. 12, 1919, in the town of Grant to Adolph and Paulina (Zwilling) Lichte. He served in World War II in Germany as a medic with the U.S. Army. Upon his discharge, he returned to the family farm and farmed his entire life.

He is survived by numerous great-nieces and nephews and great-great nephews.
