Oehler, Alta E. (6 Mar. 1915 - 21 Apr. 1937)

Funeral services for Alta E. Oehler, 22, who died of complications after an appendectomy Wednesday night, were conducted at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon at Salem Evangelical church at Dorchester, preceded by brief rites at the home.

The Rev. J. M. LeCount officiated and burial took place in Memorial cemetery, Dorchester, Wis. Those in charge of the floral tributes were Helen Umlauf, Edna Underwood, Jean Rau, Cecelia Helfert, Violet Reynolds and June Jacobs.

Miss Oehler was born on March 6, 1915, at Thompson, Iowa, and moved here with her parents in the fall of 1919. Her marriage was to have taken place in June.

Surviving Miss Oehler are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Oehler, five sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Miller, Mrs. Nellie Tischendorf, and Mrs. Ruby Baker, Dorchester; Cecile, Park Falls; and Mrs. Cecelia Jacobson, Forest City, Iowa; and four brothers, Irving, Caldwell, Idaho; Dewey, Stetsonville; Ray, Eland; and Orville, at home. One sister, Olive Tuttle, preceded her in death in 1930.
