The Loyal Tribune 20 April 1944

Hutchins, Elmer F. (? - 29 MAR 1944)

Elmer Francis Hutchins passed away at Portland, Ore., on Mar. 29. Funeral services were held on Mar. 31 at the Little Chapel of the Chimes. Burial was made in Riverview Abbey.

The deceased will be well remembered as the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Hutchins, old-time residents of Loyal and Unity township. He spent his early years teaching in rural schools and was a rural mail carrier out of Loyal for years. He was married to the former Stella Bishop. They resided in Loyal a few years before moving to the west, where they farmed until Mrs. Hutchins’ health failed and she passed away. He then moved to Portland with his three daughters, Lucille M., Elva A. and Thelma A. who, with five grandchildren and two brothers, Marion W. and John L., all of Portland, are left to mourn his death. Death was caused by a heart attack.

Mr. Hutchins was a nephew of Arthur Darton and has several cousins in this vicinity.

The Tribune extends to the bereaved family its sympathy in the loss of a loved one.
