Lobacz, Regina (28 AUG 1948)

On Saturday morning, Aug. 28, 1948, at nine o’clock a beautiful wedding took place at St. Hedwig’s Church when Regina Lobacz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Lobacz, became the bride of Chester Rogalski, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Rogalski. Father Piekarski performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a beautiful fine marquisette gown with beaded neckline and long ruffled train. Her long veil trimmed with lace was held by a beaded crown. She carried a bouquet of white roses and white pompoms centered with an orchid.

Mrs. Helen Krzyzanowski, sister of the bride, acted as matron of honor. Her gown was of white taffeta with long waistline and she carried a heart shaped bouquet of red roses. Miss Julie Jarosz, cousin of the groom, Miss Eleanore Rogalski, sister of the groom, and Miss Elizabeth Rogus, cousin of the bride, were the other bridesmaids. They wore identical gowns to the matron of honor and they all wore white picture hats and matching gloves.

The ushers were Edmund Lobacz, best man, brother of the bride, Walter Nowak, cousin of the bride, and Johnnie Rogalski, brother of the groom. They all wore tuxedos and red rose boutonnieres.

A reception was held after the ceremony to about 150 guests at the American Legion Hall in Thorp. The newlyweds will reside in Chicago, where they are both employed.

Prospect, Ill.; Mrs. John Rogus and son August of Sheldon, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Finn and daughter of Minneapolis, Minn.; Mrs. Frank Kulwiec, Medford; Vincent Ignowski, Mr. and Mrs. John Lesniewski and family, Redville, Wis.; and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ciokiewicz, Stanley, Wis.
