Manicki, Lillian (25 SEP 1948)
A four o’clock candlelight ceremony was the setting last Saturday when Lillian Manicki, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Manicki of Hartland, Wis., became the bride of Robert C. Bohrman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Shuff, Waukesha. The Rev. L. Glenn Cloninger performed the rites at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Waukesha, Wis.
The bridal gown of white satin was fashioned with a snug bodice and full skirt entrain. The yoke of the round neckline was of invisible net. Imported French lace edged the fingertip veil. The bouquet was made of American Beauty roses.
Donna Manicki was her sister’s maid of honor. She wore sea green taffeta designed with an elaborately pleated ruffle edging the low neckline and hem of the dress. Her flowers were pink roses.
Little Suzie Shuff was flower girl. She wore pink taffeta which was fashioned as the frock worn by the maid of honor. Her small colonial bouquet was formed of mixed garden flowers.
The bride’s mother attended in a navy blue ensemble. Mrs. Shuff wore black crepe. Their flowers were gardenias.
The best man was Jack J. Bohrman, the bridegroom’s brother. Ushering were Quentin Peck and Ralph Yatzek.
A bridal dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents following the ceremony. A reception was held in the evening at Waukesha’s Knights of Pythias Club. The Bohrman’s are honeymooning in Canada and northern Wisconsin, and upon their return will be at home at 1083 Baxter St., Waukesha.
Mrs. Bohrman is a graduate of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) High School and Miss Brown’s School of Business, and is employed as a private secretary at Hydro-Aire Corp. in Waukesha. Her husband graduated from the Waukesha High School and is a salesman for Fox’s Guernsey Dairy.
