Thieme, Katherine (4 SEP 1948)

Miss Katherine Thieme, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Thieme of Chicago became the bride of Mr. George Stszeszynski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Stszeszynski of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) at St. Hyacinth’s Church in Chicago on Sept. 4th, 1948.

The bride wore a white satin gown with long sleeves. Her fingertip veil was edged with lace. She carried a wedding bouquet of white roses and three orchids.

The groom wore a summer formal white coat and black trousers.

The groom was attended by his cousin Victor Siler of St. Paul and Francis Bazata of Chicago.

Bridesmaids were Dorothy Huebner and Joan Thieme of Chicago, who were attired in blue taffeta. Both carried bouquets of yellow roses and white mums.

A wedding supper was held directly after the ceremony for the immediate family at Mario’s Restaurant in Chicago.

The wedding reception was held in the Logan Square Masonic Temple.

The newlyweds enjoyed their honeymoon in northern Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Out of town guests were groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Stszeszynski of Thorp; Mrs. Joseph Lesneski and daughter Helen of St. Paul, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Michael Gawel of Bensenville, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Thieme from Rochester, N.Y.

The happy couple will reside in Chicago where both are employed.
