Miller, Myrtle (Marriage - 30 Aug. 1937)

Miss Myrtle Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Miller, and Dr. Bertes P. Ingersoll, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ingersoll of Oxford, were married at 4:30 Monday, August 30th. The ceremony was performed by Elder W. H. Holbrook at the Seven Day Advent church at Granton. The church was decorated with home grown flowers of all kinds.

The attendants were Mrs. Sarah Aho of Loyal, sister of the groom, and Gordon Miller, brother of the bride. A vocal selection, "Because" was sung by Miss Jessie Merrill, accompanied by Miss Blanche Merrill, who also played the wedding march.

The bride wore a floor length white satin dress with a full length veil. She carried a shower bouquet of tea roses and sweet peas. The bridesmaid wore a costume of pale blue taffeta and carried pink roses.

A reception was given after the ceremony at the home of the groom. The couple then left for a trip through Northern Wisconsin and will be at home to their friends after several days.

The bride is well known in this community, being a graduate of the Abbotsford High School in 1932. The groom is a graduate of the Medical college of Evangelist in Loma-Linda, California, and is now practicing at Loyal.

Those from here who attended the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Louis Miller and daughters Ethel and Verla, Ira Mjelde, Mrs. Calvin Hills, Avis Phaneuf, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Parrish and the Misses Jessie and Blanche Merrill.
