Strebe, Thresa (1857? - 20 Sept. 1937)

Funeral services were held today for Mrs. Gustav Strebe, 80, resident of Abbotsford for the past 58 years, who died Monday night at 7 o’clock as the result of complications of ailments. Rites were conducted at 2 o’clock at the Presbyterian church, the Rev. L. C. Smith, Kimberly, officiated. Burial took place in the Holton cemetery.

Mrs. Strebe, nee Thresa Seibold, was born in Bavaria, Germany. Her marriage to Mr. Strebe took place at Colby on April 14, 1879. Mr. and Mrs. Strebe made their home in this vicinity since their marriage, except for several years which they spent in California where they celebrated their golden wedding on April 14, 1929.

Surviving besides Mr. Strebe are three children, Albert H. Strebe, Abbotsford; Tessie Strebe, Marshfield; and Harold Strebe, Manhattan Beach, California. Ten grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one brother, Andrew Seibold, Greenwood, also survive.

Three children, Mrs. Mary Meyer, Ella Strebe and Arthur Strebe preceded her in death.
