Zakrzewicz, Anton (31 DEC 1861 - 2 DEC 1948)

Anton Zakrzewicz, 87 years of age, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank P. Neiman in the Town of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), of old age infirmities on Thursday, Dec. 2, 1948.

Mr. Zakrzewicz was born in Poland on Dec. 31, 1861. He was united in marriage to Victoria Jaworska on Jan. 14, 1883. He arrived in America in 1884 and resided for 15 years in Chicago. In 1899 he came to Thorp with his wife and family and located on a farm five miles north of the city. Upon the death of Mrs. Zakrzewicz in 1927, he discontinued farming and has resided with his daughter, Mrs. Francis Neiman since that time.

He is survived by three sons, Frank of Thorp, Louis of Chicago and Alex of Dallas, Texas; four daughters, (Frances) Mrs. F. P. Neiman of Thorp; (Helen) Mrs. Walter Tytor of Lublin, (Lottie) Mrs. Chester Mikolajczyk of Gilman and (Agnes) Mrs. Norman Thomas of Chicago; twenty-five grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for the deceased were conducted by Rev. F. Piekarski at St. Hedwig’s Church on Monday morning, Dec. 6 and interment took place in St. Stanislaus Cemetery at Lublin, Wis. Pallbearers were: John Balcer, Jos. Panek, Peter Wnek, Jos. Kaminski, Mike Kaminski and Jos. Moczarny.

Relatives who were here to attend the funeral of Anton Zakrzewicz on Monday were: Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Zasoba of Withee; Mrs. Earl LaFontaine and daughter Geven of Milwaukee; Anton Biesiada, Mr. and Mrs. L. Zakrzewicz, Mr. and Mrs. Pietruszewski, Mrs. Frank Brodzinski, Mrs. Norman Thomas, Frank Laszuk and Frank and Ed Tytor and sister Lottie, all of Chicago.
