Teicht, Joseph (14 Mar. 1861 - 5 Oct. 1937)

Joseph Teicht, Town of Johnson, died at his home Tuesday, Oct. 5 at 1:00 A.M. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 at the home and 2 o’clock at the Lutheran church in Milan. The Rev. Geo. Groh officiated. Internment took place in the Milan cemetery.

Pallbearers at the funeral were Wm. Krause, Emil Venzke, Rheinard Schutlheiss, John Erdman, George Staughton, Erhard Strunk.

Mr. Teicht was born in Austria on March 14, 1861. He came to America July 5, 1881 and was married to Mrs. Minna Billman, July 2, 1909, at Dorchester, Wis. They made their home in this vicinity for 32 years.

The deceased is survived by his wife and five sisters, Mrs. Thomas Melchert and Mrs. Wm. Bube, Corinth; Mrs. Hugh Carroll, Big Rapids, Mich.; Mrs. George Schearman and Mrs. Elizabeth Barton, Chicago.

Mr. Teicht was a respected and well-liked citizen of this community.
