Beaver, John J. (23 Dec. 1915 - 4 Jan. 2009)

John J. Beaver, 93, of Loyal, died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, at Saint Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

Cuddie Funeral Home of Loyal is assisting the family with arrangements.

John J. Beaver, 93, of Loyal died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Loyal. The Rev. Bernard Raschke will officiate and burial will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church Thursday, from 10 a.m. until time of service.

John J. Beaver was born Dec. 23, 1915, in Loyal, to Michael and Alma (Bassett) Beaver. After completing his education, John continued to help his father on the farm for several years. He then went to work for Tony Shober, working in a gravel pit near Milwaukee, Wisconsin. John's last employment was with the Loyal Cannery where he worked for nine years until retiring in 1977.

He was united in marriage to Beverley J. (Gregory) Beaver on Oct. 4, 1978, in Neillsville. They resided in Loyal and enjoyed traveling. Beverley passed away on Feb. 9, 2002. John continued to reside in Loyal until entering the Neillsville Memorial Home.

He is survived by three stepdaughters, six stepsons, many step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
