Rizner, Elsbeth (Marriage - 26 December 1970)

Miss Elsbeth Rizner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Rizner, became the bride of Robert Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Johnson, also of Neillsville, on Saturday, December 26, at 3:30 p.m. in the United Church of Christ. The Rev. George E. Yons performed the double ring ceremony in the Christmas-decorated church before 120 guests.

The bride, was given in marriage by her parents, carried a single, long-stemmed rose.

Maid of honor Mary Turczyn of Neillsville and bridesmaid Marilyn Peterlik of Cadott carried identical bouquets of white mum surrounded by baby’s breath.

Dennis Johnson of Camarillo, Calif., was best man. Groomsman was Sp 5 Roger Rizner, who is serving in the armed forces. Tim Harvey and Charles Urban served as ushers.

A reception for 120 guests was held at the Silver Dome Supper Club.

The bride, a graduate of Neillsville High School and of the Eau Claire vocational School, is employed in the county nurse’s office as a secretary. The groom, also a Neillsville High School graduate, is employed by Dick Tibbett Electric & Heating. The Johnsons are now living at 120 E. 6th Street in Neillsville.
