Buchanan, Rosemarie Elaine (Marriage - 26 December 1970)

St. John the Evangelist Church was the setting for the wedding of Rosemarie Elaine Buchanan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Buchanan, Nabnasset, Mass., when she became the bride of William Lowell Vetrone, son of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Vetrone of Neillsville. The 3 p.m. ceremony was performed by Rev. Dunn.

Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore an A-line gown of white satin brocade with an attached chapel train. Accents of lace trimmed the neck, cuffs and train of the gown, which featured bishop sleeves and an Empire waist. Her bouffant fingertip veil and full length chapel veil were attached to a satin head piece with embroidered bead work.

Carol Ann Buchanan, sister of the bride was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Pam Zwicker, Mrs. Cynthia Harter, and Miss Margaret Glancy. Junior Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Buchanan, the bride’s sister, and Deborah Vetrone, sister of the groom.

The maid of honor wore an A-line gown of deep ruby velvet. Bridesmaids and junior bridesmaids wore identical gowns of deep purple velvet. All carried bouquets of purple and red spider ‘mums.

James Vetrone, brother of the groom, was bestman. Ushers and groomsmen were Richard Buchanan, brother of the bride, Edward Vetrone, brother of the groom, and James Matthews. Ringbearer was Timothy Vetrone, the groom’s brother. Theresa Glancy was in charge of the guest book.

Mr. and Mrs. Vetrone are residing at 45 Pratt Avenue, Lowell, Mass.

The bride is a graduate of Westford Academy and Lowell State College. She is presently teaching in Lowell. Vetrone is a graduate of Neillsville High School. A Vietnam veteran, he is currently employed as a construction worker in Lowell.
