Coilby, Wis. - May 7, 1959

Dick Wiersig left for Milwaukee where he is employed.

James Foster, who underwent surgery at Rochester, Minn., has returned home.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Burt of Ladysmith visited Tuesday with Mrs. Burt’s aunt, Mrs. Harriet Johnson.

Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Thede, former operators of the Kolby Park Pavilion, have moved to Marshfield where Mr. Thede is employed.

Ward Keller, a student at St. Mary’s Novitiate at Burketsville, Ohio, visited the past week with Mrs. Nick Gierl and family.

Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Bruss left last week Wednesday for a three week’s visit with their children and families in West Allis and vicinity.

Mr. and Mrs. James Blanchard and daughter of Milwaukee spent the week-end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Blanchard and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Weddig.

Mr. and Mrs. John Wolf and daughter, Celia, spent the week-end at Tomah with Mr. and Mrs. Wolf’s son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Peterson, and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Gust Brehm returned Monday from Griffith, Ind., where they visited their son, Allen Brehm, and family. They spent Thursday with the Alex Brehm family in Neenah.

A daughter, Ellen Mary, was born on April 27 to Mr. and Mrs. Wayne A. Heggestad at Detroit Lakes, Minn. Mrs. Heggestad is the former Marjorie Beawer of Colby, Wis. The baby has a brother, Todd Allen, who is 19 months old.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Neuhaus and Mrs. Walter Baumgartner of Colby and Mrs. Alvina Miller, Otto Neuhaus, Mrs. Edwin Strade and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Neuhaus of Abbotsford spent several days in Cleveland where they attended the funeral of their sister, Mrs. Marie Oehldrich who died unexpectedly at the age of 72 years.
