Backhaus, Ardis Amanda (Marriage - 27 December 1970)

Ardis Amanda Backhaus became the bride of George Henry Sherwood Sunday, December 27, at 2:30 p.m. at the Neillsville Assembly of God Church. The Rev. D. Eugene Sprague performed the single-ring ceremony. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. William Poler of Rt. 1 Neillsville. Mrs. Alma Cannon, Neillsville, is the mother of the groom.

For her wedding, the bride wore a blue lace dress. Her flowers were pink and white carnations. Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth Sherwood were the couple’s only attendants.

Organ music was provided by Jim Miller, with Mrs. Fritz Elmhorst as soloist.
