McNeight, Louise (18 June 1875 - 28 Oct. 1959)

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the Ebenezer Evangelical and Reformed church near Stratford for Mrs. Joseph McNeight, age 84, who died of a stroke Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 28, at the Bethel Convalescent Home, where she had been a patient five weeks. Previously she had been a patient in St. Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield after suffering a stroke. Rev. Harvey Reh officiated and burial was made in the church cemetery.

The former Louise Schmidt was born in Washington county on June 18, 1875, and received her education in rural schools. Most of her life was spent in the Unity and Stratford areas. She lived on the present farm 50 years. She was married to Joseph McNeight on April 29, 1902. He died in October, 1955.

Surviving are four sons, Everett of Keokuk, Iowa, Adonis, Allison and Hugh, all of Stratford; four daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Allegra) Nipko of Unity, Mrs. H. C. (June) Fischer of Milwaukee, Mrs. William (Ariadne) Rampton of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Alden (Idelia) Moore of Waukesha; 17 grand children; two great grand children. She was preceded in death by three sons in infancy, three sisters and two brothers.
