Wagner, August #2 (1867 - 21 DEC 1905)

August Wagner was called to his eternal home last Thursday evening, Dec. 21, 1905. He had been a sufferer from cancer of the stomach for the past two years, but had no idea of the nature of the malady.

Mr. Wagner died at his residence on Sixth St. in this city (Neillsville, Clark Co., Wis.) He was born in Germany in 1867, coming to this country with his parents at the age of nineteen years. He has resided on a farm near this city for nearly twenty years, until poor health forced him to give up farm work. He moved to this city last spring.

Mr. Wagner was married four years ago to Miss Amelia Riedel and she and one child of two years survive him.

Deceased also leaves three brothers, William, Herman and Charles, and two sisters, Mrs. August Lange and Miss Augusta Wagner.

The funeral was held Tuesday from the German Lutheran Church, and was largely attended. The remains were laid to rest in the Pine Valley Cemetery. The following acted as pallbearers: Ben Wagner, August Marg, Oscar Beyer, Theo Linster, Will Thoma and Fred Witt.
