Oestreich, Bernard (28 Dec 1902 – 04 Oct 1966)

Bernard Oestreich, 63, of Gary, Indiana died at 9:30 a.m. Tuesdayat he Veterans Hospital at Heins, Illinois after a short illness.

Funeral services for Mr. Oestreich will be conducted at the Myre Funeral Home in Loyal on Friday, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Ellen Shaw will officiate.

The body will lie in state at the Myre Funeral Home beginning Fridaymorning. Burial will be made in the Lutheran Cemetery.

Bernard Oestreich was born in the town of Unity on December 28, 1902. He grew up in the Loyal area, and has spent the past 35 years in Indiana, employed as a construction worker. He was preceded in death by one brother.

Survivors include seven brothers and one sister; Albert of Greenville, Illinois; Everett, Ralph, and Chris of Loyal; Glen, Waukegan, Illinois; John, Dorchester; Oscar, Cambridge; and Mrs. Ed (Josephine) Polman of Chili.
