Ricksham, Evelyn F. (6 February 1910 - 27 “September 2013)

Evelyn F. Ricksham, age 103, of Minneapolis, MN, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2013, at the Edina Care Center, with her family by her side. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the Morris-Nilsen Funeral Chapel in Richfield, MN, and interment was at the Hillside Cemetery in northeast Minneapolis.

Evelyn was born on February 6, 1910, in Thorp, WI to William and Bertha (Soderberg) Glasshof. She was educated in the Thorp area schools and graduated as valedictorian of her high school class in 1928. She continued her education at the Minneapolis School of Business and was later employed as a medical secretary for many years. In a mid-life career change, Evelyn became the head receptionist at the Campbell-Mithun Advertising agency for 17 years, retiring in 1981 at the age of 71.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Ricksham, Minneapolis, MN; brothers: William Glasshof, Palm Coast, Florida, and Gerald (Maxine) Glasshof, Marshfield, WI; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; her parents; brothers: Truman and John Glasshof; and sister, Dorothy Biddle.
