Mertens, Echo (Marriage - 24 Feb. 1960)

Echo Mertens, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Krakenberger of Dorchester, and Peter Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Anderson of Colby, Wisconsin were united in marriage in St. Louis Catholic church in Dorchester Wednesday morning, Feb. 24, Father Gerald Schuh officiating at the ceremony. The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Andrew of Colby, Wis.

The bride was attired in a waltz-length gown of aqua blue crystallette with full skirt and a white lace scroll and matching hat. Her bouquet consisted of a white orchid and pink roses. Her attendant wore a gown of yellow embossed nylon sheer with full skirt and matching hat. Her bouquet consisted of yellow and white carnations.

A reception was held at the Jerkwater Dining Hall from 2:00 to 4:00 P.m. and supper was served. A dance was held later at the Dorchester Memorial Hall.

The couple left on a wedding trip to northwestern states and will be at home after March 15 at Dorchester, Wis. The groom is employed as a painter by James P. Wilde, Sr., of Colby, Wis.
