Hoey, Jessie (17 Aug. 1869 - 1953)

Mrs. Jessie Hoey, 84, former resident of Spencer, passed away at 3 A.M. Monday at the hospital in Wausau, where she had been a patient since November 21, when she fell and broke her hip. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Bodle.

The body reposed at the Swarthout Funeral Home here where funeral services were held at 2 P.M. Wednesday. The Rev. Harvey E. Schall officiated and burial was made in the West Spencer Cemetery beside her husband.

Mrs. Hoey was born August 17, 1869, in Green Lake County, and came to Spencer with her parents when a young child. She lived in Medford a few years and after her marriage, resided in Rib Lake where her husband, Ben Hoey died. After his death she made her home with her mother Mrs. Anna Bodle and in her own home, where the Henry Braun family now resides, Her brother, Harry Bodle, also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Hoey's only living relatives are three cousins, Mrs. G.H. Dennhardt, Neenah, Harry Groff, Sheboygan; and Robert Groff, Neenah.
