Davel, John A. (23 Jan. 1876 - 23 Aug. 1954)

Funeral Services for John A. Davel, 78, who died last Monday were held last Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Methodist Church with the Rev. Harvey E. Schall officiating. Burial took place in the West Spencer Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Loren Copet, A. C. Elliott, Roy Hebert, Albert Mellenthine, Arthur Phillips, and Alfred Hull.

In charge of flowers were Mrs. Loren Copet, Mrs. Albert Mellenthine, Mrs. MacDriscoll, Mrs. Calla Holterman and Mrs. Alfred Hull.

Miss Ione Jensen and Miss Karin Nielson sang "Garden of Peace and Prayer" and "Abide with Me". Miss Janice Nielsen was the organist.

Out of town persons who attended the rites were Mr. and Mrs. Vernal Davel, Port Washington; Mrs. Warren Ryan, and John Davel, Wausau; Lyle Davel, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Schultz and son, Dennis, Mountain Home, Ark.; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Funk, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Misuraca, and Mrs. Herman Tucker and children, Christopher and Lynn, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Davel, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Davel, and Mrs. Herbert Fenner, Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. George Davel, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Davel, Stratford and Mrs. Earl Berg of Marshfield and many friends from the surrounding area.
