Leffel, Clara (13 July 1888 - 19 May 1960)

Mrs. William Leffel died at her home in the town of Frankfort last Thursday morning at 2:30 at the age of 71 years after a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in Immanuel Lutheran church in March Rapids, Rev. Alfred O. Pautsch officiating, and internment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.

The former Clara Johnson was born on July 13, 1888, in Longwood and lived there most of her childhood. When a young woman, she moved to March Rapids where she married William Leffel on December 25, 1907. After their marriage, they lived in Green Grove, Clark county, for two years and then moved to the town of Hull where they remained a short time. They lived in the town of Frankfort for 45 years.

Surviving are her husband; two sons, Dellmare and Bernard of Frankfort; two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Bernice) Miller of Colby and Mrs. Laverne (Viola) Treankler of Frankfort; 13 grand children; seven great grand children; a sister, Mrs. Bert Zastrow of Colby; five brothers, Oscar and Harry Johnson of Flint, Mich., Elmer Johnson of California, George Johnson of Mosinee and Walter Johnson of Cornell.
