Scofield, Marie (Marriage - 5 Jan. 1940)

Mr. and Mrs. Alphonse Herrmann are now at home to their friends on the home place near Curtiss.

Their marriage took place at Decorah, Iowa, Friday, January 5th at 9:30 in the morning. Justice of the Peace Boyd Woodmande, performed the ceremony. The attendants were Miss Elizabeth Hiller and Walter Javell both of Decorah.

Miss Marie Schofield wore for her marriage a frock of brown velvet with black accessories and a corsage of red roses.

The bride is the daughter of E. R. Scofield of Miles City, Montana; the groom is a son of Mrs. Wm. Herrmann of Abbotsford, Wis.

Following the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Hermann left for Columbus where they visited two of the groom’s brothers, Ronald and Eugene.

On Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Phillips of Milwaukee gave a wedding dinner in their honor, at their home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Other guests present were Mrs. Catherine Phillips, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Herrman and son, James, Misses Lucille and Florence Phillips and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Walbert, all of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Before her marriage the bride was employed at the Bell Mercnatile Co.; the groom is a graduate of Abbotsford High School and operates the farm for his mother, Mr. Wm. Herrmann.
