Sherwood (28 January 1971)

Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Ziemendorf and family have returned from a month’s trip to Florida. They toured the Kennedy Space Center, Busch Gardens and the Cypress Gardens and crossed the Skyline Bridge. They also visited many other points of interest. They visited Mrs. Ziemendorf’s nephew who is in service at Blythelle AFB, and an uncle at Haines City. On the way home they stopped at Rockford, Ill., to visit friends and relatives.

Henry Olsterberg has sold out the “Hank’s W Bar”.

Mrs. Ardo Fluegel entertained a group of ladies Thursday afternoon. They played 500, after which the hostess served a lunch.

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lawson, who farmed in Sherwood for many years, called on old friends and neighbors Tuesday afternoon.

Mrs. Gladys Ziemendorf visited her uncles’ last week. She has three uncles living at the Neillsville Home.

Mr and Mrs. Lawrence Freedlund were in Neillsville on business Tuesday.

Several snowmobile clubs have been touring our area.

Ardo Fluegel went fishing at Necedah and brought home a nice catch of pan fish.

Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Larson of Nekoosa were guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. John Fluegel.

Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Schwanebeck and family were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Ardo Fluegel.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Neve, Jr., and family and Mrs. Gladys Ziemendorf were dinner guests Sunday at the John Kane home.
