Alger, Kim Marie (1 August 1962 - 10 October 2013)

Kim M. Alger, age 51, of Thorp, passed away at her home on Thursday, October 10, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2013, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, in Thorp. Rev. Gerald Heinecke will officiate and burial will follow at Sylvan Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eric Alger, Loren Alger, Scott Alger, Allen Anderson, Scott Anderson, Colin Castaing, Ed Thomas, Eric Strzok, Jeff Strzok, and Ryan Strzok. Visitation will be held at the church, on Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

Kim Marie Alger was born on August 1, 1962, in Stanley, WI, the daughter of Kenneth L. and Betty J. (DeSota) Alger. She was raised and received her education in Thorp, graduating from Thorp High School in 1980. After completing high school, Kim moved to Minnesota and worked for Xcel Energy as a gas designer and electrical designer for 28 years. She was a lot of fun to be around and will be greatly missed by all.

In her spare time, Kim loved to do stand-up comedy, crocheting, knitting, bead work, cooking, gardening flowers and loved her cats.

She is survived by her parents: Ken and Betty Alger of Thorp; three brothers: Keith of Thorp, Brian (Delores) of Greenwood, Chris (Brenda) of Edgar; one niece, Nicole; three nephews: Cody (Kristen), Michael and Justin (Kourtney Weiks); aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
