Colby - Aug. 4, 1960

Ed Becker was taken to the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital for medical treatments.

A son was born to Dr. and Mrs. Wayne Gaulke at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital July 29.

John Alexander of Phillips is a guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hause.

A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Dan Brey at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital August 2nd.

A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Miller, Jr., at the Medford hospital July 30.

Mrs. Anna Piper of Chilton was the guest of her cousin, Mrs. Anthony L. Schemmer, last week.

Mrs. G. Estrume returned home after a two-month visit to the west coast and Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Mr. and Mrs. Alois Gabriel and children attended a reunion of the Kraus family at Chilton Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wolk of West Allis spent the past week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Dix.

Mr. and Mrs. Ted Pflanzer and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Luzinski returned from their trip to the west coast.

Mr. and Mrs. Peter Rosslet and children of Milwaukee spent the past week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred J. Kobs.

Mr. and Mrs. Peter Gries of Sheboygan, former Colby residents, spent several days with relatives in Colby and Spencer.

Mr. and Mrs. James A. Laap of Colby and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Deckleman of Medford spent several days on a trip to Niagara Falls.

Mrs. J. T. Selves, who had been staying in Minneapolis with her sister, Mrs. Bert S. Barber, is now at the Clark County Hospital at Owen.

Miss Wanda Weix returned to Chicago by plane Sunday after spending several days at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Weix.

Mr. and Mrs. Emil Merten, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Otto Kuehling of Unity, made a trip to Eldho, Post Lake and Merrill last week Tuesday.

Robert J. Sedlack is leaving today, Thursday, for his home in Berkley, Calif., after spending a week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Sedlack.

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Jost and three sons of Ojai, Calif., were guests from Wednesday of last week until Tuesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Braun.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Marquardt have returned to Colby from New Berlin and are residing in the former Mrs. Herman Kops residence which they purchased.

Mrs. J. E. Tesmer, Janice, Joanne and Jimmy visited from Friday through Monday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Zehner and family in Manitowoc.

Mrs. Edna Waldhart has received word of the birth of a daughter to her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Waldhart, at Appleton on July 28.

Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Zavala and children of Riverside, Calif., visited Monday and Tuesday with Mrs. Zavala’s mother, Mrs. C. J. Kraus, and the Alois Gabriel family.

Mr. and Mrs. James Blanchard and daughter of Milwaukee visited several days with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Blanchard and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Weddig.

Correction: Mr. and Mrs. Ray Decker and family visited at Milwaukee recently with Mr. Decker’s mother who is ill and not with Mrs. Decker’s mother as stated last week.

Lieut. and Mrs. Don E. Primeau and son, Stephan Joseph, returned to their home in Beeville, Texas, after spending 10 days with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Primeau.
