Bruhn, Charlotte Ann (Marriage - 20 Aug. 1960)

Miss Charlotte Ann Bruhn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Bruhn of Marshfield, and Dennis Lee Witte, son of Mrs. Edwin Witte of Colby, exchanged marriage vows in Our Lady of the Peace church in Marshfield Saturday morning, August 20, at 11:00 o’clock, Rev. Donald Wilger officiating at the marriage ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Mrs. Robert Gueldner of Whitewater was matron of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Mary Judith Wilson of Rockford, Ill., and Miss Patricia Shirck of Auburndale, and Miss Karla Witte of Colby as Jr. bridesmaid. The groom was attended by Robert Gueldner of Whitewater as best man and Glen Hermann of Colby and Allen Schjoneman of Unity as groomsman. Miss Vicky Bradle of Marshfield served as flower girl. David Johnson of Racine ushered.

The bride was attired in a white gown of peau de soie with appliqué Guipure lace, deep pleated back forming an abbreviated train, square neckline with scalloped, lace, three-quarter length sleeves. Her chapel length silk illusion veil was caught by halfcap of white orange blossoms and pearls. Her bouquet consisted of white gladiola, snapdragons and winter ivy. Her attendants wore identical street-length gowns of champagne silk organza, over taffeta, Bell sleeves and full skirts with picture hats. They carried arm bouquets of gladiola. The bride’s mother wore a green and beige floral print shaped dress, hat, shoes and other accessories beige. The groom’s mother wore a pink sheath dress with black accessories. The flower girl wore a green with gold polka dot dress in nylon chiffon over taffeta and carried a basket of flowers.

A reception was held at the home of the bride.

The couple left on a wedding trip to points in Wisconsin, Michigan, Canada, New York and Niagara Falls. After September 6th, the couple will be at home in Rochester, N.Y., where the groom is employed by Eastman Kodak.

The groom is a graduate of Colby High School and the University of Wisconsin where he received a degree in mechanical and industrial engineering. The bride is a graduate of Columbus High School in Marshfield and attended University of Wisconsin, majoring in home economics.

Guests were from Marshfield, Colby, Wisconsin Rapids, Whitewater, Neillsville, La Crosse, Augusta, Spencer, Onalaska, Birchwood, Rockford, Ill., Waupun, Madison, Rib Lake, Philadelphia, Pa., Los Angeles, Calif., Appleton, Black River Falls, Auburndale, Racine and Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
