Davidson, James Chalmers (6 Feb. 1876 - 23 Mar. 1940)

James Chalmers Davidson, a former resident of Abbotsford, Wisconsin, died at his home in Minneapolis Saturday morning. He was an employee of the Soo Line railroad for more than 40 years, having been an engineer on the passenger service between Minneapolis and Owen. He retired from active service on February 4 because of ill health resulting from an automobile accident some time ago.

Mr. Davidson was born at Bathhurst, New Brunswick, Canada, Feb. 6, 1876. On Oct. 29, 1902 he and Mrs. Davidson moved from Stevens Point to Abbotsford, Wis. Two children were born to them while they lived in Abbotsford, Wis. In 1912 the family returned to Stevens Point and 12 years ago moved to Minneapolis.

The surviving relatives include his wife, the two children, Mrs. A. E. Anderson of Stevens Point, and John C. Davidson of Minneapolis, and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at the Boston funeral home in Stevens Point, Tuesday afternoon at three o’clock and burial was made in Forest cemetery.
