Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Hilgert and son of Eau Claire were visitors at the E. A. Shoemaker and Victor Kuehl homes on Saturday.

Henry Dittner of Thorp, has been in our neighborhood this past week taking order of acreage for sugar beets this summer and most everyone signed up.

The Kuehl crew and saw rig sawed wood on Monday for Ernst Shoemaker and are at Fred Morgan’s.

S. Sergeant Everett Audorff of Valparaiso, Calif., visited his parents over Christmas. He called at the Hugo Kuehl home on Friday evening on his return trip back to California. He made his journey in a 1941 Chevrolet and alone. Everett is only 20 years old and has been in the Army for three years and has signed up for another six years. He says he is satisfied with it all.
