Miller, Reverend Brent E. (21 February 1965 - 24 January 2009)

Our cherished friend and pastor, Brent E. Miller, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 24, 2009.

Brent was born on February 21, 1965 in Elkhart, IN, to Ray and Carol Miller of Osceola, IN.

Brent’s ministry partner was his devoted wife, Maria. They were married April 14, 1984 in Elkhart, IN. Along with Maria, Brent is survived by his son, Nathan (Lauren) of Benton, AR, and his daughter, Kayla of Brighton, MI.

He is also survived by his parents, along with three brothers: Brian (Sara) of Mishawaka, IN, Rev. Bob (Julie) of Paris, IL and Brendon (Stacy) of Mishawaka, IN; and a sister, Ranae (Robert) Suth of Granger, IN. He is also survived by a grandmother, May Mendenhall, of South Bend, IN, and numerous extended family members and friends.

Brent was called by God at a very young age. His start was as a youth pastor at Kensington faith Center in South Bend, IN. He then pastored at Trinity Christian Fellowship in Stanley, WI, for six years. In 1998, he was called to the Father’s House in Brighton, MI. Along with serving as senior pastor, he devoted 15 yea s to ministering to teens at youth camp in Iona. He served on mission trips in the Philippines, India and Mexico. His entire life purpose was to see God’s Kingdom advanced. He was a man of integrity with a pastor’s heart who never compromised the Word of God. He sought and gained God’s wisdom at a very young age and was always about His Father’s business. He was humble and soft spoken, but had a very loud testimony. We look forward to joining him in heaven.

Friends called from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27 at The Father’s House, 1623 Old US 23 Brighton, MI. Funeral services were held at The Father’s House on Wednesday, January 28, at 11 a.m. with a brief visitation at 10 a.m. A brief graveside service will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka, IN, Friday, January 30, 2009, at 1 p.m.

In place of flowers, the family is requesting memorial contributions to be made to Mountain Springs Youth Camp, c/o The Father’s House.

Arrangements were made by Keehn Funeral Home, Brighton, 810-229-9871 www.keehnfuneralhome.com.
