Wehrman, Augusta (29 Jan. 1864 - 6 Apr. 1940)

Mrs. Theodore Wehrman, died at the age of 76 at the farm home of her son, Herbert, Saturday, April 6th, following an illness of several months. For the past two months preceding her death caused by pernicious anemia, Mrs. Wehrman was confined to her bed at the Herbert Wehrman home.

Funeral services were held at one o’clock at the home of her son, Lawrence, followed at two o’clock by services in Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Rev. J. Brandt officiated. Internment followed in the Abbotsford cemetery.

Pallbearers were Henry Jacobi, Anton Kramer, Gust Hintz, William Hintz, Louis Beilke and Henry Parge.

The flower girls were the Misses Anita Wehrman, Ellen Jacobi, Ruth Wibben.

Mrs. Theodore Wehrman was born Augusta Weideman January 29, 1864 in Chicago. When only a small child the family moved to Sheboygan Falls. Here she was united in marriage on July 11, 1886 to Theodore Wehrman. The year following their marriage they came to this part of the country and cleared their farm where they lived together until Mr. Wehrman’s death last May.

Three years ago Mr. and Mrs. Wehrman celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary.

To them were born four sons and four daughters. One son, Alfred, preceded the parents in death.

Mrs. Wehrman is survived by seven children, all of whom attended the funeral. Lawrence and Herbert of Abbotsford, Louis of Waterloo, Ia., Mrs. Hilda Rohde of Wauwastosa, Mrs. Tillie Faulk and Mrs. Frieda Tiews of Waukesha and Miss Amelia Wehrman of Chicago. There are fourteen grand children and one great grand child.

Two sisters, Mrs, William Grier of Colby and Mrs. Henry Scheelk of Fenwood, and three brothers, August Wiedeman of Abbotsford, Herman of Colby and Fred of Two Harbors, Minnesota also survive.
