Kollmansberger, Robert Matthew (11 Nov. 1933 - 4 Feb. 2009)

GREENWOOD -- Robert Matthew Kollmansberger Jr., 75, of Greenwood, formerly of Loyal, died on Wednesday at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal. Military rites will be conducted by the Loyal American Legion Post 175.

Visitation will be held at the church on Feb. 14, from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Robert was born Nov. 11, 1933, in the town of Green Grove, Clark County, to Robert Sr. and Magdalena (Remer) Kollmansberger. He was united in marriage to Shirley Ann Elstrom on July 14, 1956, at Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford, Wis.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959. After his discharge, Bob continued to work for the railroad until 1975, and also farmed north of Loyal in the town of Beaver, until selling the farm in 1996 and moving to Greenwood. He then drove tractor for Kevin Fellenz, doing custom fieldwork for several years.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley, of Greenwood; five children, Rhonda (Jeff) Hanson of Evansville, Renee Gast (friend Dean Check) of Ringle, Kurt (Tina) Kollmansberger of Chili, Kevin Kollmansberger of Greenwood, and Regan (Jeff) Beck of Eau Claire; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and a sister, Myra (Florian) Seichter of Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Cuddie Funeral Home of Greenwood is assisting the family with arrangements.
