Martens, Delores Ann (Marriage - 17 Sept. 1960)

Miss Delores Ann Martens and Carl H. Duwe were united in marriage on September 17 in the chapel of St. Rose of Lima church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The bride, given in marriage by her father, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Martens of Colby, Wis. The parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Emil Duwe, formerly of Milwaukee, now residing in Medford, Oregon.

The bride chose a dress of embroidered silk organza with an Italian neckline. She carried a cascade bouquet of white roses and feather mums with an orchid center. A pearl necklace and earrings, a gift of the groom, completed her ensemble.

Miss Caroline Martens, a sister of the bride, as maid of honor, chose a peacock blue silk organza dress and carried a cascade bouquet of yellow spider mums and pom poms. The groom’s brother, Roy J. Duwe, of Milwaukee was best man.

The costumes of Mrs. Martens and Mrs. Duwe were accented with orchid corsages.

A dinner for immediate families was served at Como’s restaurant and a reception was held at the Aloha Inn.

The couple will make their home in Milwaukee after returning from a honeymoon in Hawaii.
