Neitzel, Beverly Ann (Marriage - 8 Oct. 1960)

Miss Beverly Ann Neitzel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Neitzel of Unity, and Donald Utke, son of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Utke of Curtiss, were married Saturday by Rev. Robert V. Langseth in the Trinity Luthean church at Unity, Wis. Miss Sandra Lee Neitzel sang "O Perfect Love," accompanied by Miss Marilyn Messer on the organ. The church was decorated with zinnias and gladioli.

Miss Neitzel carried a white Bible topped with a white orchid and lily of the valley streamers as she appeared for her wedding on the arm of her father. She wore a floor-length dress of lace over satin and tulle styled by long sleeves and a scalloped scoop neckline. Her fingertip veil fell from a pearl crown headpiece.

Miss Valerie Klemetson of Colby was her maid of honor. Bridesmaid was the bride’s sister-in-law, Mrs. Robert Neitzel of Unity, Wis. Their dresses of light green and dark green, respectively, were in floor length. They carried baskets of white carnations.

Marlene Klemetson was flower girl and Michael Neitzel was ring bearer.

The groom was attended by Arlan Utke of Curtiss as best man and Robert C. Neitzel of Unity as groomsman. Charles Frane of Abbotsford and Dan Abel of Unity ushered.

Wedding day events were a reception at the parental Neitzel home, a supper at the church hall and a dance at Dorchester Memorial Hall.

Mrs. Utke graduated from Colby High School and Professional Business Institute at Minneapolis, Minn. The groom attended Abbotsford High School and is a carpenter. They will make their home in Colby after a wedding trip to New York.
