Mocadto, Michael, Mr./Mrs. (50th - 13 FEB 1950)

Mr. and Mrs. Michael Mocadto of Chicago, Ill., celebrated their 50th Golden Anniversary at the 1045 N. Mozart Hall. A 6 o’clock dinner was served to 75 guests. Mrs. Mocadto was presented with a bouquet of red roses by their two year old great-granddaughter, Diane Filipek, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Filipek, and M. Mocadto was presented with a golden cane by Daniel and Tommy Filipek, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester, and Walter Filipek.

The evening was enjoyed by dancing to the music of Mr. Karpel and the nephews of Mrs. Mocadto, Baler Brothers.

Mrs. Mocadto wore a gold color dress with a corsage of yellow tea roses with gold leaves which was given to Mrs. Mocadto by granddaughter, Mrs. Loretta Burzynski.

Mr. Mocadto wore a brown suit and wore a yellow rose with a gold leaved boutonniere, which was given to him by his granddaughter Henrietta Filipek. Each guest was presented with a gold leaf by Mr. and Mrs. Michael Mocadto.

Mr. and Mrs. Mocadto have one daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Filipek, and five grandchildren, Mrs. Loretta Burzynski, Henrietta, Chester, Walter and Edwin Filipek, and three great grandchildren, Diane, Daniel and Thomas Filipek.

Mr. and Mrs. Mocadto received beautiful gifts from all their guests. Their daughter Kathryn surprised them with a consol Crosley television set. The couple was united in marriage by Rev. Karczyk at St. Hedwig’s Church, Thorp (Clark Co.), Wis., on Feb. 13, 1900. They lived in Thorp ever since, until four years ago when they moved to Chicago, making their home there.
