Schultz, John #2 (26 APR 1878 - 27 APR 1950)

John Schultz, a former resident of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), died at his home near Abbotsford, on April 27th, 1950. He had reached the age of 72 years.

The deceased was born in Sheboygan, April 26th, 1878. For many years he was a resident of the Thorp community, operating a farm south of here and also a store in the village which was destroyed by fire in January 1932. That same year he moved to Abbotsford, which has since been his home.

He is survived by two sisters, Mary Verkuilen of Stanley and Mrs. James Hirt of Sheboygan.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Paul Pitzenberger at St. Ann’s Church at Stanley, Saturday morning, April 29th and interment took place in St. Bernard’s Cemetery at Thorp. Pallbearers were: George Haas, Peter Henke, Walter Verkuilen, Charles Ramberg, Edwin Schultz and Arnold Vandehey.
