Shea, Louis (1931? - 1950) Flag

Funeral services conducted by the Bergemann Funeral Home were held at the Methodist Church at Fairchild on Wednesday for Louis Shea, age 19, who died as the result of injuries received in an auto accident. Burial was made in the Fairchild Cemetery, with Rev. Joseph Mason officiating. Military rites were in charge of the Neillsville Service Company of which Louis was a member.

Pallbearers were Jerry Smith, Donald Burr, Lawrence Zink, Ronald Wallace, Adrian Hubing and Vernon Sternitzky. The firing squad consisted of Donald Ayers, John Cummings, William Genteman, Edwin Degenhardt, Charles Meyer, Chester Diercks, and Jessie Marty. Richard Rousey was bugler. In charge of the service company were Lt. Delbert Struble and Thomas Flynn.

Mrs. Raymond Stuve and Miss Eula Briggs took charge of the floral offerings.

Out of town persons attending the rites were Miss Althea Humphrey, Mrs. Helen Persiko, Mr. and Mrs. Art Olson, Orville Olson, Henry Shea, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Olson and Mrs. Morris Wold, all of Eau Claire; Mrs. Raymond Stuve, Miss Eula Briggs and Mrs. Grace Van Truck of Humbird, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Setzer of Stanley.
