Granton (18 February 1971)

Mrs. Michael McGovern and a friend, both of Waterloo, spent a few days recently with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Van Kayser. Mrs. McGovern is on her way to anchorage, Alaska, where she will join her husband d who is stationed there with the army.

Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Fero drove to Edgar Sunday afternoon where they called on Mr. and Mrs. Edward Nagel and family.

Visitors at the home of Mrs. Otto Anding Sunday afternoon were her sisters and their husband, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Tyler and Mr. and Mrs. Arno Guk, of Marshfield, and her niece, Lorraine Guk, of Oshkosh.

Mrs. L. C. Kirk of St. Paul, Minn., spent the past week at the Marvin Garbisch home.

Mr and Mrs. Louis Helm and Mrs. Mamie Riedel were supper guests Sunday at the Henry Helm home.]

Mr. and Mrs. Otto A. Schmidtke and daughters of Stratford visited Saturday night with his mother, Mrs. Otto Schmidtke. On Sunday, Mrs. Schmidtke’s four grandchildren, Arthur, Christine, Bruce, and Marie Degenhardt snowmobiled from Loyal to visit their grandmother.

Members of the Grant Busy Bee homemakers were to gather Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Alfred Drinsinger for a 1:30 p.m. meeting. The group is making plans for a rummage sale to be held in spring.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Helwig and daughter of Bartlett, Ill., spent the three-day Washington’s Birthday weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Hansen. Leonard Hansen was also home from the University-Wisconsin-Green Bay for the weekend.

Mrs. Clarence Ganther, Mrs. Elaine Walters of Marshfield and Mrs. James Musil of Neillsville attended a senior recital last Wednesday evening at Eau Claire State University. The soloist was percussionist Cynthia Cirkl. Miss (balance of names was missing.)
